With the Christmas rush and the stress that comes along with it, we need to be cautious of not losing sight of who this season is truly about. You cannot remove Christ from Christmas. It is the best time to remisnisce with family and friendz on the beautiful gift He gave us – ‘love’. Have a happy Wednesday everyone. Love, live and laugh!
This summer, some of the biggest trends are ruffles and tiers.
The key is to keep it simple. Ruffles are beautiful, but can also accentuate your frame, so be careful where the ruffles fall on your outfit. It may add some extra weight in places you don’t really need.
I opted for ruffles from the hip down, as this adds curves to my skinny frame.
Chambray and denims are heavier fabrics which are great for structure (especially shaping the ruffles) but if your are curvier, there are gorgeous ruffled skirts in georgettes and chiffons which drape beautifully!
Dress – New in my range (Calista Clothing)
This Tuesday – Choose happiness, forgive, laugh, love and live. We have one life. It may truly be the only opportunity to make a difference. And don’t forgot – you may as well step up and stand out!
Over the last few months, I coached the Mr and Miss Parow High school finalists.
What an incredible journey its been, to witness them transform from teens to young men and women.
There were no more deserving winners than Natasha and Jordan. They wowed the judges with their dedication, character, poise and personality.
It was an honour to coach and be ‘judge’ these remarkleable men and woman.
A huge congratulations to Miss Kelly Mckenzie and Mr Rickus Swanepoel for creating this ‘showcase’. It was a pageant of note!
Next year promises to be even more spectacular! Watch the space ladies and gentlemen!
It is always an honour to be featured in any media, be it print or any other platforms. There are so many phenonimal women, who do amazing work, and I am humbled being celebrated in this manner. Mika Williams wrote a story based on my career, achievements and community and charity.
We often rank our self worth based on unrealistic standards, which we will never be able to achieve. If we can just love ourselves, remind ourselves that our scars are proof that we survived, and focus on our strengths, we will be stronger, healthier women, who impact the next generation.

This Women’s day, we were on the Pippa show on Cape Talk, and Bianca and I discussed our matric dance donation project coming September the 22nd! This project forms part of our Equilibrium NPO, and an extension of the Character based programmes we run in the community.
Our passion is to see holistic transformation in our communities, and to eleviate the problem we have with crime, substance abuse, low maorale, teen pregnancies, just to name a few.

If you think of royalty, one fabric often comes to mind – jaquard! I love it. Jaquards and durable, have just enough sheen to not look ‘cheap’ and is just one of those fabrics which are easy to press.
My jade jaquard dress I designed in a very feminine fit and flare silhouette, with a playful bow on the cap sleeve.
There is just enough sophistication for her to be grown up enough to be inbited to the party, with a the little bit of ‘cheeky’ (plunging neckline ..heehee) to make you aware, that she has arrived!
