I love a beautiful vintage look. And how gorgeous are the veil hats? Just delicately revealing part of the female frame.

I shot recently with ‘Shutterstevie’ and we played with a light and retro decor at the iconic Anotoli restuarant in Cape Town.

It created the most beautiful backdrop for our moody shot.

This, teamed with my chandelier choker, of – shoulder top, pleated skirt, fishnets and pointies, were enough of a recipe for a very captivating shoot.

I love moody shots! Thank you photo fundi Stephen!

This is one question that is undeniably one of the most concerning questions that affect every woman. How do I know which colour suits me? Well hun – you can pull of any colour as long as you keep the colour that does not work for you, away from the face…..Excuse me? Away from the face?

Yes – if you are blonde and struggle with dull greys and melanges, why not wear it as a ponti jacket, and wear a colour that compliments your skin in a shirt, scarf or top? Yes – it works!!! Have a look at the colours that compliment you below 🙂 And please take risks too!!

Milky – Vanillas

You have natural blonde or caramel hair colour, with blue, hazel or green eyes, and
quite fair. You look great in pastel or sorbet hues, including pinks, soft blues, mint, etc.
Dare to wear deep pinks, aquas, and brights as well!!!

Dark chocolate –

You have deep beautiful dark skin and can wear most colours! Even if you may not feel confident, you can look it!! Go for bright bold colour!!!

Don’t be afraid of golds and bronzes, this is so gorgeous on you. Make sure you do not wear
extremely deep chocs without a pop of bright lipcolour.

Fiery

You are a natural red head, with freckles (in most instances)

You pull off autumn colours beautifully – Deep shades of reds, purples, browns, etc.
However, you can look pretty fiery in brights as seen above

I love how Emma Stone experiments with bold colour – yellows and oranges. You should too!

Toffees

You are olive skinned and mostly brunette. You can tan beautifully and probably one of the most desired skin colours, because of your versatility.

Much like dark skins, you break rules of colour, but ensure that if you wear nude, that you add some sort of pop in colour, be it in an accessory or bold lip!

Be adventurous with your colours! Take risks, and if you are still a bit uncomfortable with bold colour, introduce it in bite sizes in your accessories. 🙂

Viva Le Diva!!

I love mixing up prints! Especially if it the same family/hues. For example monochromes (Black and whites)

These Images show monochromes mixed with a slight pop of colour! Great for work!

I opted for a more laid black monochrome mix, with a white 60’s frame…

.. a black and white palm print off shoulder, teamed with a grid print skirt…

…a plain black sling back with chrome handles..

…and a metallic flat!

There is no need to restrict or contrive your look. Play around with prints.

As long as they are similar hues….mash it up! 🙂

Congratulations to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex on their beautiful wedding! I don’t know about you, but one could definately feel the love!

What a picture of love! The iconic ‘kiss’ that melt our hearts.
Meghan stuns in a sleek minimal Givenchy dress.

My 5 favourites at the wedding were:

Australian actress – Jacinda Barret is the epitome of sophistication in this beautiful berry dress.

Carey Mulligan is absolutely feminine in a demure floral dress.

Serena Williams is so regal in her assymetrical rose ensemble by Versace!

Gina Torres definately towers in this red lace Costarellos dress.

Amal is my absolute fave in this striking yellow dress!

I am naturally skinny, but by no means do I believe in having an idol body. I enjoy dancing, but I also enjoy a good weekly jog and ‘at-home’ resistance training.

A Strong body, a strong mind

By no means am I 20 years anymore, but I am a firm believer in taking care of my body, my temple.

A balanced life, is a happy life.

I love empowering, especially girls, and women who do not even realize their gifts and talents.

A few years ago I approached two young women who I firmly believed could make great ambassodors as Miss SA. One came back two years later and said she wanted to give it a try. The other, would like to grow in her studies.

Of course I was over the moon. Catch me coaching her here:

Meagan and Esther on SABC 3 – Counter culture

Meagan Duckitt coaching Esther – modelling

And of course, when she was ready, we went to our Miss SA regional judging, and this year it was bigger than ever, as we celebrated 60 years of the pageant history!

I was so proud of my Esther, as she was not only the youngest entrant, but from just under 100 entrants, she made it to the top 15!
How awesome!!

An amazing achievement for a novice, don’t you think? Well done hun!

And of course – heads up to our gorgeous Ade, who was the absolute epitome of grace!
