I love mixing up prints! Especially if it the same family/hues. For example monochromes (Black and whites)
These Images show monochromes mixed with a slight pop of colour! Great for work!
I opted for a more laid black monochrome mix, with a white 60’s frame…
.. a black and white palm print off shoulder, teamed with a grid print skirt…
…a plain black sling back with chrome handles..
…and a metallic flat!
There is no need to restrict or contrive your look. Play around with prints.
As long as they are similar hues….mash it up! 🙂

Congratulations to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex on their beautiful wedding! I don’t know about you, but one could definately feel the love!
What a picture of love! The iconic ‘kiss’ that melt our hearts.
Meghan stuns in a sleek minimal Givenchy dress.
My 5 favourites at the wedding were:
Australian actress – Jacinda Barret is the epitome of sophistication in this beautiful berry dress.
Carey Mulligan is absolutely feminine in a demure floral dress.
Serena Williams is so regal in her assymetrical rose ensemble by Versace!
Gina Torres definately towers in this red lace Costarellos dress.
Amal is my absolute fave in this striking yellow dress!
I am a firm believer that we have the power to transform lives, one person at a time.
Past Saturday I had the opportunity to head up a project in conjunction with an NPO I co-founded called Equilibrium, and we donated at least 50 dresses to matric learners from the Cape flats who cannot afford their own.
We had phenominal speakers to encourage the ladies to
follow their dreams!
It was such an honour to be part of such an event
The Equilibrium team runs many different projects in the Elsies River community which impacts society.
50 girls from 5 schools were dressed and next year even more are targeted.
Thank you Spree, Foschini, Premier Hangers, Smudge Make up Academy and the community and family and friends for all your generous donations!
Thank you Roelse Events, and Myphotocorner for your photography service donations.
I am a sucker for sneakers and denims. At times you just want to kick of the heels and rest your feet.
Below are some easy ‘off – duty’ looks, which are effortless and comfy, especially in transitional weather!
Peak caps in cute prints are fun, and an easy way to camouflage
‘bhd’ (bad hair days)!

I am an absolute ‘girly’ girl and LOVE my dresses and skirts, but I also enjoy a great fitting denim and super sleek suit! So if preppy is your ‘thang’ why not play up your pinstripe blazer with a supercool distressed denim?
A Pinstripe box blazer is always cool..
Work your blazer with a white shirt…
…and pearl embellished denim…and pops of colour accessories!
And don’t forget the attitude, – bosslady!
Details are key! A cute ‘bright bag’ with matching earrings and heels are so edgy!
And your insect brooch is so hot this season!
Any insect accessories from dragonflies, to beetles, to spiders are on trend!
And if you have not bought an embellished denim, just add it yourself like I did! DIY, bapee!
Yes, you can be trendy on a budget like me!

I am naturally skinny, but by no means do I believe in having an idol body. I enjoy dancing, but I also enjoy a good weekly jog and ‘at-home’ resistance training.
A Strong body, a strong mind
By no means am I 20 years anymore, but I am a firm believer in taking care of my body, my temple.
A balanced life, is a happy life.

I love empowering, especially girls, and women who do not even realize their gifts and talents.
A few years ago I approached two young women who I firmly believed could make great ambassodors as Miss SA. One came back two years later and said she wanted to give it a try. The other, would like to grow in her studies.
Of course I was over the moon. Catch me coaching her here:

And of course, when she was ready, we went to our Miss SA regional judging, and this year it was bigger than ever, as we celebrated 60 years of the pageant history!
I was so proud of my Esther, as she was not only the youngest entrant, but from just under 100 entrants, she made it to the top 15!
An amazing achievement for a novice, don’t you think? Well done hun!
And of course – heads up to our gorgeous Ade, who was the absolute epitome of grace!
